## about me

i am a 26-year-old girl (she/her/hers) living in the midwest. i work remotely for a tech company, which really doesn't matter at all. my real vocation (what i would consider to be my life's work) is writing. i hope to use this gempage as a way to put my thoughts out into the world in a more calming way than web-based social media and the like.

i'm on the millennial/gen-z cusp ('97er), and so i missed out on the beauty of web 1.0. what i like about gemini (as a very new user! ^-^) is the feeling of sending a message in a bottle. maybe someone will read this, maybe they won't. my hope is i'll feel more comfortable sharing my opinions when i don't have the perception that i'm broadcasting them on a stage for the whole world to see. 

i will probably oscillate between all-lowercase and proper capitalization depending on the seriousness of whatever i'm writing about. ;)

* media theory & cultural analysis--my major in college!
* psychology (specifically psychoanalysis of all flavors)
* education
* religion
* astrology (sorry science-y people!)
* self-knowledge and self-development
